Order of Courage
The Order of Courage (COC) is a Kingdom-level Grant of Arms award recognizing extraordinary acts of valor on the fields of foreign wars. This award is conferred only once per reign, and recipients are entitled to wear a distinctive gold hood and bear the badge of the Order. The Order of Courage was chartered on February 12, A.S. XXXXIII (2009) by Alrik II and Salomea, King and Queen of the Outlands. The charter was attested by Marie de Blois, White Stag Principal Herald. The premier recipient was Fierren Greenholm.
Purpose and Recognition
The Order of Courage honors those who have demonstrated **extraordinary bravery and prowess** in foreign campaigns, distinguishing themselves as warriors under the banner of the Stag. These individuals inspire others with their valor beyond the borders of the Outlands.
Recipients are styled as Companions of Courage and may use the post-nominal letters COC. This award carries a Grant of Arms, if not already held.

Badge and Regalia
Members of the Order may bear the badge: Or, in saltire a stag's attire gules and a sword sable.
Recipients also receive a gold hood as a symbol of their valor.
