Order of the Stag's Blood
Order of the Stag's Blood
The Order of the Stag’s Blood – Defender (DSB) is a Kingdom-level Award of Arms Order in the Kingdom of the Outlands. It honors those who have demonstrated excellence in the fighting arts. This award was chartered on the 27th day of March, A.S. XXXIII (1999), during the reign of King Maelgwn and Queen Lillian. At that time, Pendar the Bard served as White Stag Principal Herald.
Purpose and Recognition
This award is given for exceptional skill and prowess in combat, including heavy weapons, rattan, or other martial disciplines recognized by the Crown.
Recipients of this award are entitled to use the post-nominal letters (DSB) after their name.
The Order bestows an Award of Arms upon the recipient, if they do not already possess one.
Precedence
This Order carries the precedence of an Award of Arms. If the recipient already holds an AoA, their precedence remains unchanged, but the honor is added to their list of recognitions.
Badge
Vert, in saltire a sword inverted proper and an axe argent, hafted Or, surmounted by a stag's head cabossed argent, armed, within a bordure embattled Or.
Recipients are entitled to display the badge of the Order and may wear appropriate regalia.
