Summer Coronation A.S. 60 (2025)

The Summer Coronation of A.S. 60 was held on the weekend of July 19–20, 2025 (Gregorian calendar), in the Barony of Unser Hafen, within the Kingdom of the Outlands. The event marked the stepping down of King Zachariah and Queen Mariana, and the Coronation of King Simon and Queen Aria.

The event featured courtly grandeur, heartfelt recognitions, tourneys, musical performances, and a festive atmosphere filled with hospitality and pageantry. It was co-stewarded by the Baronesses of Unser Hafen, Their Excellencies Kitta Ragnvaldsdottír and Safiyya bint Faris al Dani.

Final Court of Zachariah and Mariana

Their Majesties King Zachariah and Queen Mariana held Their final court in the morning of Saturday, July 19.

Recognitions and Awards

• Sir Alexander MacAndrew was named a Walker of the Way for his mentorship and service, and entrusted with the sword *Lightning*.
• Lady Kökechin Qo'a presented commemorative tunics celebrating “ursine excitement” at Battlemoor.
• Duchess Anna Mactaggart, in absentia, was awarded an Augmentation of Arms for her service as Blue Iris Herald.
• The Queen’s Cypher was awarded to Duchess Cecilia Mowebray, Duke Hrothger Monomakh, Mistress Ekaterina Kirkovna, Mistress Karma Tinzin Khandro, Master Callum of Skye, and Duchess Anna Mactaggart.
• Duke Artan was awarded a Cordon Royale (in absentia).
• Mistress Karma Tinzin Khandro was made an Archer of the Iron Rain (also known as Sharparrow).
• Final farewells were given to Attendants and Champions, and regalia was entrusted to the Orders of Peerage in preparation for the Coronation.

The Coronation of Their Royal Majesties Simon and Aria took place Saturday morning, July 19.

Honors for the Outgoing Crown

• Zachariah was named a Count and given the Queen’s Cypher.
• Mariana was named a Duchess and awarded the Cordon Royale.

• Don Emrys ap Gwalchmei was named a Ragnar’s Hammer.
• New royal household positions were invested, including:

 - Master Y Puirt Lairge & Mistress Melodia Shaw as Heads of Household
 - THL Leonor Cuerva de Segovia y Avila as Mistress of the Robes
 - Mistress Karma Tinzin Khandro as Largesse Coordinator

First Court of Simon and Aria

The first evening court was held Saturday, July 19, with additional sessions throughout Sunday, July 20.

Court Highlights

• Newcomers were welcomed with Outlands cups.
• Stallmeister Apollonia Zawmstricker was thanked for a borrowed sun hat and given a White Scarf.
• Sir Nicolae Rares was tasked with distributing toys to children, who chased him gleefully from court.
• Lady Lewena de Galwedia received an Award of Arms.
• THL Unna Farulfsdottir received a Court Barony and was made a Companion of the Argent Fleece.
• Eupraxia was honored with a Stag’s Heart.
• A call was made to scribes for scroll blanks; those who participated in the Scribal Display were gifted quills.
• THL Hannah de Ávila was offered admittance to the Order of the Laurel.
• Lord Galen fitz Thomas was awarded a Stag’s Heart.
• Doña Eleonora von Effen was named a Stag of the Outlands.
• Ragnar’s Hammers were awarded to:

Sunday Recognitions

Sunday’s court continued the celebrations:

• Lords Vyncent Blackmantle and Finvid Lang Rackvidd were admitted to the Order of the White Scarf.
• Bears Gate presented Their Majesties with a gift basket (including tent stakes).
• The Citadel of the Southern Pass gifted a newly composed song from Lord Kasjen, celebrating Don Emrys’s bear-wrangling feats.
• Don Robert Hunteman, Sir Michaelangelo Francesco di Genoa, and Don Tahir al-Razi were each offered admittance to the Order of Defense.
