Introduction

Sorcha MacGillavrey is a second-generation SCA-dian who has been active for over 25 years. Her parents are Moira and Torquil MacGillavrey who reside in Sternfeld in the Middle Kingdom, and her sister is Aethel MacGillavrey in the Outlands. Throughout her SCA journey she has participated in arts and sciences includes sewing, embroidery, woodworking, jewelry-making, and brewing. She has a self-proclaimed "helium-hand" that began her volunteer career by working gate (troll) and serving feast when she first started in the 1990's and has continued to serve in rapier marshalling, A&S judging and assistance, in the organization, setup and running of feasts, donations lunches, kingdom, regional and local events. She also has a love of rapier, which she has fought since before it was legal in the Middle Kingdom, and has enjoyed serving as the (at the time) youngest youth rapier marshal in the Middle Kingdom, the youngest official FULL rapier marshal in the Middle Kingdom (she became one on the day she turned 18), as MOL for many tourneys, as rapier marshal both field and authorizing, and also just kicking around and having a fabulous time fighting rapier whenever and wherever she is able and stabbing her friends when they don't defend up to par. She is the proud cadudent (half cadet, half student), of Baron Torquil MacGillavrey MOD, OP.

Her full name with titles is The Honorable Lady Sorcha MacGillavrey, OCK, DST, OSO. She is currently a member of House Gliocas, Dragon's Keep, and the negotiably-good ship Corvus (Outlands edition).

Persona

Her name is of Gaelic origin, but she prefers Scandinavian culture in the last decade. She is too accustomed to her name to ever switch it to a Scandinavian one though! Persona details will be updated at a later date.

Sorcha has a varied history and interests! She loves turtles, jackalopes/wolpertingers (yes, not period), woodworking and rapier and she is currently working on a coat of arms.
