Overview
The Wolf and Selkie Inn is a household in formation within the Kingdom of the Outlands, founded and operated by Muirenn an Liath and Lycus of Outlands. The Inn is known throughout the Knowne World for its hospitality, providing food, comfort, and fellowship at events across the Kingdoms of the Outlands, Atenveldt, Gleann Abhann, and the Middle Kingdom.
The Wolf and Selkie Inn serves as a gathering place where friends, travelers, and companions can share meals, stories, and good company. Built around the traditions of welcome and community, the Inn strives to create a place where all are welcome and where connections are strengthened around the table.
History
The Wolf and Selkie Inn began in 2024 as a mundane pop-up tent and a dream at War of the Phoenix II. Although the Inn did not yet have a name, the idea of creating a place centered around hospitality, fellowship, and gathering around a shared table began to take shape. As Muirenn an Liath and Lycus traveled home from that event, they began planning what would eventually become The Wolf and Selkie Inn.
The Inn’s earliest days were shaped by a simple purpose, providing food, comfort, and a welcoming place for people to gather. At Pennsic L, Muirenn and Lycus began putting that vision into practice by helping to feed their camp.
War of the Phoenix III marked the Inn’s first full pavilion experience, bringing the vision of the Wolf and Selkie Inn to life on a larger scale. During a breakfast court held at the Inn, Muirenn and Lycus received their Stag’s Hearts, making the event a memorable milestone in the Inn’s history.
The Inn continued to travel and provide hospitality throughout the Knowne World, including appearances at Gulf Wars XXXIII and Battlemoor XIII. At Battlemoor XIII, the Inn expanded its service by providing food for volunteers before the event began and later extending its signature hospitality when called upon by their Crown. Throughout the event, the Wolf and Selkie Inn continued its tradition of providing food, comfort, and fellowship to the community.
The Wolf and Selkie Inn most recently attended War of the Phoenix IV and continues to grow as a household centered around hospitality, service, and community.
