Gilbertus de Messina is a player from Unser Hafen, he is a fighter, and herald who served as the Unser Hafen chatelaine. He is also a member of Bears Gate and spreads word of their shenanigans far and wide with his attitude and service.

12th Century (born ~1130) Siculo-Norman.

Gilbertus is a Norman from the kingdom of Sicily, specifically the city of Messina. He was first bloodied in campaigns against the Byzantine Empire during the 2nd Crusade. When he returned he started a small sea trading outfit in Palermo and he sails the trade routes from Sicily around the western Mediterranean including Tunis, Valencia, Genoa and Marseilles. On one of these trips he dared to venture towards Tangiers, his ship was chased by corsairs through the straits and into a mysterious storm. His crew was lost but he found himself in an unfamiliar place called the Kingdom of the Outlands.
