Overview

The Palma Aurea of Fontaine (OGP) is a Baronial-level Award of Arms given by the Coronet of Fontaine dans Sable. This award, previously known as the Order of the Golden Frond, is conferred upon those who have demonstrated advanced skill in the arts and/or sciences. The order was chartered under its original name on November 8, A.S. XXXVII (2003) by Hoegaarden and Chiara, King and Queen of the Outlands, and Duncan and Mary, Baron and Baroness of Fontaine dans Sable. The charter was attested by Tatianna Pavlovna Sokolova, White Stag Principal Herald, and Rowland McCain, Black Fountain Pursuivant.

Purpose and Recognition

The Palma Aurea of Fontaine honors those who have achieved a high level of skill in their chosen art or craft, possess a detailed knowledge of its history, and have given freely of their time to teach and promote their art to others.

Recipients are styled as Companion of the Order of the Golden Frond and may use the post-nominal letters C.G.F.. This award carries an Award of Arms, if not already held.

Badge and Regalia

The insignia of the Order shall consist of a medallion bearing the badge of the Order. The badge is a Golden Frond.
