Overview
The Legion of Gallantry (CLG) is a Kingdom-level award given to those who exemplify the ideals of gallantry and courtesy. This award is non-armigerous and does not carry a Grant of Arms. Recipients are styled as Companions of the Legion of Gallantry and may use the post-nominals "CLG." The Order was chartered on July 13, A.S. XXXIII (1998) by Hrothger II and Madigan, King and Queen of the Outlands. The charter was attested by Pendar the Bard, White Stag Principal Herald. The premier recipients were Fiachra ni Ciardhubhain, Daved Shmuel ben Rachon, Dio de Lifar, and Joseph Cameron Blackswan.
Purpose and Recognition
The Legion of Gallantry honors individuals who consistently demonstrate honorable and courteous behavior, bearing themselves with a gallantry that shines as a "star in the heavens." This award recognizes those whose conduct serves as an exemplary model for the populace.
Recipients are styled as Companions of the Legion of Gallantry and may use the post-nominal letters CLG.
Badge and Regalia
Members of the Order may bear the badge, which consists of a pin with an estoile (a star with wavy rays) surmounted on a green ribbon.
