Overview
The Order of the Knights Pensioners of the Venerable Guard (PVG) is a Kingdom-level award created to recognize individuals who have served the martial interests of the Society for not less than 30 years. This award is non-armigerous. Recipients are styled as Companions of the Order and may use the post-nominals "PVG." The Order was chartered on August 4, A.S. XXXVI (2001) by Kynan and Eleanor II, King and Queen of the Outlands. The charter was attested by Juan Balthazar Tigrerro, White Stag Principal Herald. The premier recipient was Albert von Dreckenveldt.
Purpose and Recognition
The Order of the Knights Pensioners of the Venerable Guard honors those who have demonstrated extraordinary long-term commitment and endurance in the martial arts of the Society. The award recognizes those who have become living legends through their decades of service, embodying the valor, counsel, and powerful action of ancient paladins.
The style of the holder's title varies based on their existing precedence; for example, a Knight would be known as a Knight Pensioner of the Venerable Guard, while an armigerous individual would be a Lord Pensioner of the Venerable Guard. All are entitled to use the post-nominal letters PVG.
