Persona
Caírech Liath ingen Ailpin (c.1130–1180) was born in northern Ireland to a Norse Gael family and now lives in Tokavaig on the Isle of Skye under the rule of Somhairle mac Gille Brigte. She serves the household of Somhairle as a ban-chaointe (keening woman) and genealogical storyteller. Her service is often needed in campaigns and political journeys throughout the hebrides, Ireland, mainland Scotland, and once, Norway.
