Overview
The Falling Waters of Fontaine (FW) was a Barony-level award in the Barony of Fontaine dans Sable.[1] It was given to those who had demonstrated the art of dying well upon the field of combat, displaying grace, theatricality, or humor in their demise for the enjoyment of all.
This award was chartered on the 3rd day of October, A.S. L (2015). With the transition of Fontaine dans Sable from a Barony to a Shire, this award is no longer granted.
Purpose and Recognition
Recipients of the Falling Waters of Fontaine were recognized for excellence in the theatrical art of dying well in battle, often enhancing the enjoyment of martial activities through their skillful and memorable deaths.
A Companion of this Order was entitled to use the post-nominal letters [FW] after their name.

Listen to the story of a gentle so enthralled with the art of warfare that he/she has perfected another art through sheer volume of practice. This gentle has seen so many deaths that the only choice they had was to embrace it and make it a spectacle of honor, capturing the agonizing last breaths of many lethal wounds. __________ has proven time and time again that he/she is quite skilled in being drawn and quartered, disemboweled, dismembered, and otherwise being quite incapable of continuing to draw breath and swing steel in the defense of him/herself on the field of combat. In doing so he/she often finds him/herself quite dead just short of the feet of kings, queens, tearful spouses, parentless children or laughing opponents. These theatrical antics have mined us to create __________ as a companion of the Order of the Falling Waters of Fontaine dans Sable.
