Venerable Guard of the Outlands
Overview
The Order of the Venerable Guard (CVG) is a Kingdom-level non-armigerous award given for having been a fighter for not less than fifteen years.
Purpose and Recognition
The Order of the Venerable Guard is given by the Crown to those subjects who have served the martial interests of the Society for a period of not less than fifteen years. The award is meant to recognize those who have dedicated a significant portion of their lives to the martial pursuits of the Society.
Recipients are styled as Companions of the Venerable Guard and may use the post-nominal letters CVG.
Badge and Regalia
Members of the Order may bear the badge:
Vert, a sheaf of three swords inverted proper, surmounted by a rose, all within a bordure embattled Or.
The insignia also consists of a pouch for presentation with a suitable stipend, symbolizing the sack of coin given to Knight Pensioners by Edward III in ceremonies at Windsor.

We ________ and ________ , King and Queen of the Outlands send greetings unto all to whom these present letters shall come.
Know ye that whereas We are bound to make satisfaction to those who have spent all the years of their youth in Our services and those of Our Royal Cousins in distant lands, and much more are We bound to reward those who have obediently and liberally expended not only years but their very bodies, often bloody with wounds, in the wars of Our predecessors and in Our own, with no small sweat of labor, until their old age, according to their merits.
We therefore, weighing with due consideration the assiduous probity of Our very dear and trusty __________, sufficiently proved until his old age in the wars aforesaid in body, not only sweating, but oftentimes red with the shedding of blood, do ordain, prefer, and create [him/her/them/NAME] a Companion of the Venerable Guard, together with the style title and honor due to the same.
