The Sisterhood of the Holy Hatch Green Chile is a satirical, food-themed group within the Kingdom of the Outlands. Inspired by Morgan Donner’s Sisters of the Hidden Valley, the Sisterhood was formed as a playful “holy order” of faux-nuns dedicated to celebrating the cultural and culinary icon of Hatch green chiles.

History

The Sisterhood debuted at Gulf Wars 2025, where members delivered “blessings” by instructing others to kneel before them and then spoon-feeding them Hatch green chiles. The group’s tabards, which display a green chile encircled by a golden halo, quickly became their identifying regalia.

On July 3, 2025, the Sisterhood hosted a revel at Battlemoor. Initially planned with a “Naughty Nuns” theme, the event’s branding was reworked after internal debate over concerns that the imagery might be seen as disrespectful toward religious communities. The party shifted toward a salsa-inspired motif, featuring dancing, a salsa-making contest, and wheelbarrow races.
