Introduction

Kûrios Hilarion is a consulting herald and general A&S-doer who resides in Unser Hafen.

He's trying not to make his craft hoard any larger than it already is, but he's tempted constantly. He enjoys period cooking, sewing/garb-making, embroidery, calligraphy, and a bit of carpentry. This list will expand and that is a threat, mostly to himself.

Persona

Hilarion Angelos Akropolites (Greek: Ἱλαρίων Ἄγγελος Ἀκροπολίτης) was a Byzantine arts patron and soon-to-be statesman in late 10th-early 11th centuries Constantinople. With his father being a wealthy statesman of the Akropolites line and his mother being a (somewhat far-removed) scion of the even more impressive Angelos family, he enjoyed a life of relative luxury and ease. He was well known for leeching off sorry, making use of his father's money to commission beautiful works of art from countless artisans within Constantinople. He often wore ostensibly gaudy clothes of fine linens, silks, and cottons, frequently importing the materials from afar simply just to brag about it.

If you've heard of a certain Byzantine fail-son, it most likely referred to Hilarion. His favorite activities included gossiping, lounging upon his lectus, doing nothing, sending scandalous letters that if discovered would bring shame upon his entire family, and being fed grapes or other finger foods by handsome individuals. He had a particular aversion to doing work and having responsibilities.

Summons are preferred though surprises are still alright. His title is Lord, but the Greek variant Kûrios may also be used (ex. Kûrios Hilarion), or even no title at all. He uses he/him/his pronouns.
Hilarion Angelos Akropolites is pronounced "ee-LEHR-ee-on | ahn-YEH-lohs | ah-kroh-poh-LEE-tehs," but he won't be mad if you mispronounce it.
