Persona

Marinus began as a gladiator in the Roman Colosseum around 250 A.D., fighting for the roar of the crowd and the thrill of combat. After receiving a rudis (ceremonial wooden gladius), he was set free and ventured into the Known World. He still loves a good fight, and has been training in all manner of weapons not typically found in the Colosseum. He still reminisces about the Roman Empire.

Offices & Positions

  • Captain of the Grizzly Guard, Bears Gate, 07/19/25 to present

Projects & Publications

In Case of Court

Marinus would love to be surprised with court appearances. For calligraphy/voice heralding, the name "Tullus" would be used by close family members or on legal documents, the full name can be abbreviated on scrolls to "Tul. Aurelius Marinus" as found in Roman historical sources. Marinus will respond to "Aurelius Marinus", "Marinus", but not "Arugula Marinara". Any questions can be directed to Dryantilla Aelia for clarification or planning.

Helping Your Heralds & Scribes

Marinus would absolutely adore scrolls with small little fish drawn in the margins. He's a big angler if you couldn't tell.
