Overview

The Order of the Palmer's Lantern (CPL) is a Kingdom-level award given for artistic endeavors that enrich the Society but fall outside the typical realm and time period of the SCA. This is a non-armigerous award. Recipients are styled as Companions of the Order and may use the post-nominals "CPL." The premier recipients were Bree of Caer Galen and Rhiannon O’Connemara.

Purpose and Recognition

The Order of the Palmer's Lantern recognizes those whose artistic contributions enrich the lives of others in ways that defy traditional categorization. It is for those who bring a unique and modern artistry to the Kingdom, and whose work lights the way for new and innovative ways to serve the Society.

Recipients are styled as Companions of the Order and may use the post-nominal letters CPL.

But there are those who enrich the lives of those around them in ways that defy description.
