Walker of the Way of the Outlands
Overview
The Order of the Walker of the Way (CWW) is a Kingdom-level non-armigerous award given for conduct demonstrating the highest ideals and values of the SCA. Only one person is admitted to the Order each reign. The Order of the Walker of the Way was chartered on June 13, A.S. XXXIII (1998) by Hrothger II and Madigan, King and Queen of the Outlands. The charter was attested by Pendar the Bard, White Stag Principal Herald. The premier recipients were Raymond the Quiet and Theodric ap Breken Beaken.
Purpose and Recognition
The Order of the Walker of the Way is given by the Crown to the person whose behavior shows the highest ideals and values of the Current Middle Ages, serving as a beacon to light the path for others.
Recipients are styled as Walkers of the Way and may use the post-nominal letters CWW.
Badge and Regalia
Members of the Order may bear the badge:
Argent, a palmer robed, hooded and bearing a staff sable.
The insignia consists of some rendition of a palmer walking on a path, or a medallion bearing the registered badge of the Order.

Know you that __________ is a gentle [man/woman/person] whose virtues and chivalry shine forth in this realm.
We are therefore minded to name [him/her/them] a Walker of the Way of the Outlands. We charge [him/her/them] to go, as [he/she/they] has gone before, and be as a palmer on the path before us to light our way. We further bestow the right to bear the insignia of this most noble order, to wit: Argent, a palmer robed, hooded and bearing a staff sable, that all may know of Our high esteem.
