Chalice of St. William the Cooper of Caer Galen
Overview
The Chalice of St. William the Cooper (BCW) is a baronial award of the Barony of Caer Galen, given for outstanding good works for the Barony and its people. Holders of the award are styled as Bearers of the Chalice of St. William the Cooper. The charter was attested on May 9, A.S. L (2015) by Baroness Matilda and Baroness Anne, and by King Tam and Queen Kathryn, with the attestation of White Stag Principal Herald Randal Carrick. The premier recipients were Briatiz d'Andrade, Francesca di Pavia, Katherina von Lehmann, Louis-Philippe Mitouard, Michaelangelo Francesco di Genoa, and Randal Carrick.
St. William the Cooper is also honored in a shrine that appears annually at Battlemoor. The shrine features a planing tool and wood shavings. The wood shavings are purported to contain "miraculous" messages which visitors are encouraged to take with them as a memento.
