Espada de Oro of al-Barran
The Order of the Espada de Oro of al-Barran (CEO) is a Barony-level Award of Arms in the Barony of al-Barran (part of the Kingdom of the Outlands). It is awarded for excellence in the art and knowledge of fencing.
This award was chartered in A.S. XXXIII (1999), by Baron Kragon and Baroness Sarah of al-Barran, with the charter also signed by King Maelgwn and Queen Lillian of the Outlands. Pendar the Bard served as White Stag Principal Herald at the time.
Purpose and Recognition
Recipients of this award are recognized for their excellence in the art of fencing, demonstrating high levels of skill and knowledge. The award honors those who enrich the martial community of the Barony through their dedication to fencing.
A Companion of this Order is entitled to use the post-nominal letters [CEO] after their name.
Precedence
This Order carries the precedence of an Award of Arms.
Badge
- (Fieldless) Two rapiers inverted in saltire surmounted by a scorpion Or.
Recipients are entitled to wear the badge of the Order and appropriate regalia.
