Overview
The Barony of al-Barran is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) located within the Kingdom of the Outlands. The Barony represents Albuquerque, New Mexico and surrounding areas.

History
On November 11, A.S. X (1975), the Barony of al-Barran was established within the Kingdom of Atenveldt, with Sir Raymond the Quiet invested as the first Baron on May 29, 1976. Among its many distinctions, members of al-Barran served as the first Prince and Princess, as well as the first King and Queen, of the Outlands. During the Outlands’ time as a Principality, al-Barranians held the titles of Prince and Princess eleven times.
