Gilded Leaf of Caerthe
The Order of the Gilded Leaf of Caerthe (CGL) is a Barony-level Award of Arms in the Barony of Caerthe. It is awarded for excellence and contributions to the Barony in the area of the arts and sciences.
This award was chartered in 1999 (A.S. XXXIII), by Baron Walter and Baroness Fiachra of Caerthe, with the charter also signed by King Maelgwn and Queen Lillian of the Outlands. Pendar the Bard served as White Stag Principal Herald at the time. The companionship of all previous recipients of the Order is hereby confirmed by the charter.
Purpose and Recognition
This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding skill, dedication, and contributions within any field of the Arts and Sciences that benefit the Barony of Caerthe.
A Companion of this Order is entitled to use the post-nominal letters [CGL] after their name.
Precedence
This is an Award of Arms, granting armigerous status.
Badge
- Sable, an aspen leaf inverted Or.
Recipients shall have the right to bear the badge of the Order and appropriate regalia.
