Mace of Aarquelle
The Mace of Aarquelle (AMA) is a Barony-level non-armigerous award in the Barony of Aarquelle. It is awarded to martial arts participants who have made an effort to improve their skill and demeanor on the field or in the lists. This award may be received once per discipline.
Disciplines
The disciplines for which this award may be given are:
- Heavy combat
- Standard Rapier combat
- Cut and Thrust Rapier combat
- Archery
- Combat archery
- Combat projectile weapons (ballista, trebuchet, etc.)
- Thrown weapons
- Equestrian
- Marshaling/List Minister
Purpose and Recognition
This award recognizes dedication to martial improvement, not just in skill but also in conduct. It honors those who enhance the Barony's reputation through their efforts in the martial arts.
A recipient of this Order is entitled to use the post-nominal letters [AMA] after their name.
Precedence
This is a non-armigerous award and does not grant armigerous status.
Badge
- Azure, in fess three maces Or, a mountain of three peaks argent.
Recipients are entitled to wear the badge of the Order and appropriate regalia.

Having heard much of the martial prowess of [Recipient's Name] in arts of [Discipline, e.g., Armored Combat / Rapier / Archery / etc...] and thus enhancing the word fame of Our land of Aarquelle, We hereby award [him/her/them] the Mace of Aarquelle. We further bestow the right to bear the insignia To Wit: Azure, in fess three maces Or, a mountain of three peaks argent.
