Barony of Aarquelle
The Barony of Aarquelle is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) located within the Kingdom of the Outlands. The Barony encompasses Colorado south of the Colorado Springs metro area. Aarquelle is the youngest barony in the Outlands.

History
Aarquelle was originally founded as a shire in AS XXI (1987 CE). When it was elevated to baronial status, it incorporated the former Shire of Villa Leon.
The Crown of the Outlands approved Aarquelle’s baronial status on 28 January 2017, with the investiture and official founding as a barony taking place on 29 April 2017 (AS LI).

Aarquelle is best known for its annual winter event, '''Viking Vintr Vunderland''' (note: ''Vintr'' is intentionally spelled without an ''e'').
