Star and Compass of Aarquelle
The Order of the Star and Compass of Aarquelle (ASC) is a Barony-level Award of Arms in the Barony of Aarquelle. It is awarded to those who have developed a proficiency in the sciences and have implemented those skills for the betterment of the Barony. As this is an Order, it may be received only once.
There is currently no charter available for this award.
Purpose and Recognition
This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate a high level of skill in the sciences and share their knowledge and talents for the good of the Barony. The star and compass symbolize the pursuit of enlightenment and the practical application of knowledge.
A Companion of this Order is entitled to use the post-nominal letters [ASC] after their name.
Precedence
This is an Award of Arms, granting armigerous status.
Badge
- Azure, on a mullet of six points argent a compass sable, a mountain of three peaks argent.
Recipients are entitled to wear the badge of the Order and appropriate regalia.

- (2) We Baron [Baron's Name] and Baroness [Baroness's Name] of Aarquelle (do not use "of" for Audrey & Teigr) send Greetings
- (3) It is widely known that the power of Science brings ease and advancement to the people of our lands. Thus, we seek to reward [Recipient's Name] dedication and pursuit of logic, enlightenment, and [his/her/their] contribution to developing and teaching the Sciences in the Barony of Aarquelle {especially in or as...}.
- (4) Thus we are now minded to create [Recipient's Name] a Companion of the Order of the Star and Compass that all may recognize [his/her/their] service to the Barony of Aarquelle. [Recipient's Name] shall be bestowed with all rights and responsibilities of this rank, including the right to bear the badge of the Order, To wit, Azure, on a mullet of six points argent a compass sable, a mountain of three peaks argent., that all may know of the high esteem in which [he/she/they] is held by our Barony and ourselves.
