Sword Bearers of Aarquelle
The Order of the Sword Bearers of Aarquelle (ABA) is a Barony-level Award of Arms in the Barony of Aarquelle. It is awarded to participants in the martial art of heavy combat who have demonstrated continued improvement in their prowess and have used their skills to serve the Barony. As this is an Order, it may be received only once.
The Baron of Aarquelle is the patron of the Order. Membership requires the advice of the existing members and the consent of the Baron. The Baron is not required to follow the recommendations of the Order's members, but he must consult with them before making new appointments. The name of the order has a period precedent in the historical Order of the Sword Bearers of Livonia (c. 1147 CE).
Purpose and Recognition
This award recognizes individuals who not only display excellence in armored combat but also contribute their skills and service to the Barony's martial community.
A Companion of this Order is entitled to use the post-nominal letters [ABA] after their name.
Precedence
This is an Award of Arms, granting armigerous status.
Badge
- Azure, in fess three broadswords inverted Or, a bordure wavy argent.
Recipients are entitled to wear the badge of the Order and appropriate regalia.

- (4) we do hereby prefer and create [him/her/them] as a Companion of the Sword Bearers of Aarquelle, to fulfill all duties and possess all rights pertaining thereunto, including the right to bear the badge of the order, to wit: Azure, in fess three broadswords inverted Or, a bordure wavy argent.
