On November 11, A.S. X (1975), the Barony of al-Barran was established within the [[Kingdom of Atenveldt]], with Sir [[Raymond the Quiet]] invested as the first Baron on May 29, 1976. Among its many distinctions, members of al-Barran served as the first Prince and Princess, as well as the first King and Queen, of the Outlands. During the Outlands’ time as a Principality, al-Barranians held the titles of Prince and Princess eleven times.
