Overview
Caerthe Twelfth Night was held January 3rd, AS LX (2026) at Waymire Dome on the Adams County Fairgrounds in Brighton, Colorado. The event theme was One Thousand and One Nights.[1]
The event was hosted under the reign of King Simon and Queen Aria. Sigeric bíldr served as event steward.
Site Token
The site token was a small, metal oil lamp charm suspended from cord.
Court and Recognitions
Morning Court
Morning Court began with a brief session of Outlands Court. During this session, Anne Elizabeth Morley presented an in-progress scribal tribute based on a historical jousting cheque. When finished, the piece will include the arms of all entrants to the crown tourney which Simon won to become King of the Outlands. The final court of Ansteys and Dubhghall as Baron and Baroness of Caerthe then opened.
After presenting their awards, Ansteys and Dubhghall released their guard and retinue and shared words of thanks. Dubhghall in particular took time to recognize any and all who had served Caerthe during their reign, presenting tokens of his appreciation. A brief, five-minute recess was held before the Investiture of Tahir and Rivka.
Investiture
Tahir and Rivka were heralded in by Mizuno Kiku Ibara and Esterel Miramond. During the preceding recess, Aria had donned a purple wig to match His Excellency Tahir's daughter, Ivy. The two also had matching outfits. Ivy stood in court beside Roi Aria during the investiture and read many of the oaths during the ceremony.
Following their Investiture, Their Excellencies began with an officer's pledge. Jethro Stille was then summoned forward and released from service as Aspen Pursuivant. Ibara was sworn in and took his place as court herald. Máire Dooley and Louchelan de Hay were sworn in as their Head of House and Captain of the Guard respectively. Any who wished to serve as guard or attendants were then summoned and given regalia.
End of Morning Court
Outlands Royal court briefly reconvened to grant further awards. Simon also took a moment to echo the words of Dubhghall and offer further thanks to all those in the Outlands who served in any way.

Evening Court
Outlands Court
Outlands evening court began with the offering of cups to newcomers. Hawk Rill Hunnybun was selected to do the running of the toys. In addition to several new awards and recognitions, Simon called forward Kaleriia Andronikova to fulfill the promise he'd made when granting her her Legion of Gallantry of the Outlands award at Jotunnstaor II. At the time, he did not have the typical sash to offer her and instead gave her his personal white belt to hold until he could present her a sash.
Elevation of Sixtus Goetz
Sixtus Goetz was first offered elevation to the Order of Chivalry at Jotunnstaor II on September 13, 2025 A.S. 60. His vigil was held on site during the morning of A.S. 60 Twelfth Night.
Sixtus was heralded into court by Miguel Sebastian da Oporto and escorted by Anneka Mikaelsdóttir. His ceremony began with the returning of his squire belt to his mentor. After returning the belt, his mentor cut his arms from the belt to symbolize Sixtus' release from service as a squire.

Sixtus elected to participate in The Buffet tradition. His scroll was the work of Cecilia Caterina da Firenze.
Elevation of Hayashi Yo'ichirou Norikata
Hayashi Yo'ichirou Norikata was first offered elevation to the Order of the Laurel at Jotunnstaor II on September 13, 2025 A.S. 60.
His elevation began with several individuals passing out packets of snacks and white paper lanterns suspended from dowels to the assembled populace. He was heralded into court by Æva Dyer and Vanozza Da Corbetta. The procession featured someone puppeteering a large, stylized stag's head attached to which was a long train of blue fabric. After processing, the stag's head was stationed at the front of the aisle with the train draped to resemble a river.

Caerthe Court
Caerthe evening court featured many honors and announcements. Mizuno Kiku Ibara who had been named the Archery Champion at Saint Sebastian's the previous August, was recognized. Sigeric bíldr was recognized as Thrown Weapons Champion. Mearcstapa announced that Sophia Rares would be the next Blackthorn Bard. Ivy (of Caerthe) and Ailea (of Caerthe) were also summoned to receive the symbolic "Keeper of the Baron's Heart" as a recognition of His Excellency Tahir's love and appreciation for his family.
Cordelia (of Caerthe) presented a ceramic bowl from the land of Argonia as a gift to Her Excellency Rivka. Esterel Miramond presented a handmade ceramic pitcher decorated with the heraldry of Caerthe as a symbolic offering to help in "filling the cups" of their populace. Arndís Knýtir presented the largesse from the derby. Voci Volante performed a piece. It was also announced that the donation lunch had raised $400.

At the Event
Caerthe Twelfth Night included several features for attendees to pass time between courts.
Bardic Performance
Caerthe performance group, Voci Volante, debuted after morning court. Throughout the event, they performed several vocal and instrumental pieces. The competition to select the next Blackthorn Bard was held during feast. Contestants were required to perform only one piece. Sophia Rares, the winner of the competition, sang The Parting Glass.
Merchants
A traditional focus of Caerthan Twelfth Nights is a strong merchant presence. Destash Central was among the merchants present. They traditionally vend exclusively at this event, operating online for the rest of the year. Other vendors include I have Gone a viking, Hestia's Home Creations, Two Wolves Forge, Maud Punk, De Puy Creations, Wyrd Weaver, Belly Goat, and Black Mare Creations.[2]
Largesse Derby
As part of the Investiture of the new Baronial Excellencies, a Largesse Derby was held to support the Barony of Caerthe. Open to all, participants contributed themed largesse in individual dozen (12) or half-dozen (6) entries under the event theme, For the Love of a Story. Items were required to be non-perishable, non-liquid, properly tagged, and suitable for gifting. Following the derby, participants selected a thank-you item by random draw, with the remaining largesse presented to Their Excellencies.[3]
Classes
A variety of classes were offered throughout the afternoon, covering arts, culture, and Society knowledge.[4]

Games
At various tables in the feasting hall, period games with accompanying rules were set out for people to enjoy. Selected games included Byzantine Chess, Backgammon, and the Royal game of Ur.

The feast was served in three removes. It was limited to 100 spots and took place prior to evening court.[5]
